UNIT4 ADDS DOMESTIC EVP SLOT

Haran Sold, Unit4Unit4 has hired Haran Sold to fill the new position of as EVP of domestic businesses. Sold will be global representative for all domestic businesses in the Unit4 Executive Committee, with GMs of those businesses reporting to him. Sold was previously with smartShift Technologies from July 2014 through December 2016.

MYOBMYOB is readying a pilot test of its new partner program. OK. The company is based in Australia and also operates in New Zealand, but does not do business in the United States, but many of us are curious about what the neighbors do. One hundred firms will participate in the pilot with partner managers asked nominate channel members they would like to participate.

SAP RAMPS UP ON IoT

Hans Thalbauer, SAPSAP, which has pledged to invest around $2.1 billion in the Internet of Things over five years, has named its IoT portfolio SAP IoT. The name is taken from the inventor, Leonardo da Vinci. The software giant plans a global IoT event that is scheduled to be held from July 11–12 in Frankfurt, Germany, at the KAP EUROPA.

SERENIC ABSORBS BELLAMY

SERENIC Serenic Software has combined with its sister company Bellamy Software. Both units, which target the nonprofit market, are owned by Sylogist, a publicly held Canadian business. Operating as Serenic, the company is incorporating Bellamy's Analytics, Budgeting, Asset Management, Revenue and Operating modules into the Serenic Navigator line.

EX-SAGER ARMSTRONG JOINS KENANDY

Donna Armstrong, KenandyKenandy, which develops financial software on the Salesforce platform, has named Donna Armstrong as VP of partners and services. Armstrong, who joined the company in October, will be responsible for helping the Redwood City, Calif.-based Kenandy grow operations and expand its channel.

TANGICLOUD FOR NFPS LAUNCHED

Jay Cloud, Tangicloud Tangicloud for NFPs, a fund accounting package has been launched. The cloud product, based on Dynamics NAV, comes from Tangicloud, founded by Jay and Leisa Malik, the founders of Serenic. The company took responsibility for servicing 14 clients from a software company that suspended operations in July and transitioned them and a small number of other companies since then.

COLUMBUS BUYS TRIDEA PARTNERS

Andy Collins, Tridea PartnersColumbus, the Denmark-based reseller and ISV, has acquired Solana Beach, Calif.-based Tridea Partners. Terms were not disclosed. It is the fourth VAR purchase in the last two years in the United States by Columbus, which will continue its pattern of letting the purchased operation keeping its name and tacking on "A Columbus Company".

FINANCIALFORCE NAMES CEO

Tod Nielsen, FinancialForce FinancialForce has named Tod Nielsen, former EVP of platform at Salesforce, as CEO. He replaces founder Jeremy Roche, who will serve as a special advisor to management. Meanwhile, the company said it is nearing a $100-million runrate and is experiencing revenue growth of more than 40 percent. FinancialForce said the next target is $1 billion in revenue.

HICKS NOW INFUSIONSOFT COO

Terry Hicks, InfusionsoftTerry Hicks, who once led the QuickBooks Online effort, has become chief operating officer of Infusionsoft. Hicks took on the new title this month after serving as chief product officer for the Chandler, Ariz.-based software company from July 2015. He was with Intuit from February 2000 through February 2015.
