BLYTHECO STAFF TAKES THE PLEDGE

Blytheco pixO.K., it's not that kind of pledge. Blytheco has pictures of its employees signing a pledge of allegiance to the reseller's new direction as the company launched Blytheco 3.0. Owner Steve Blythe issued a press release that outlines four objectives (which will be listed at the end of this item.) Blythe and his top lieutenants, which are fewer lieutenants than there used to be, visited all of the firm's offices to officiate over employees signing the pledge to the new Blytheco.

In this case, the cadre included Donna Baezza, director of human resources. With Blythe having bought out the minority partners who had been with the business a while and his decision to add NetSuite to a lineup that had been all Sage, I would think some reassurance was a good idea. While the Blytheco home page has been featuring NetSuite over Sage, the company's blog is listing reasons customers should attend the Sage Summit conference in Nashville, Tenn., in August. The company's Facebook page has pictures of staff members in the various offices holding a banner "We are Blytheco; We play to win." The Facebook page also promised on Tuesday, June 26, to kick off a Sage Summit trivia campaign. I presume it will include questions like "What are the new names of Sage's products?" and "Why is the company doing this?" Somehow I can hear it now, "I pledge allegiance to the VAR ...", followed by the playing of the Blytheco anthem. The key objectives were listed this way: Blytheco Team ‐ Provide both the opportunities and environment to attract and retain the best team members in our business; Blytheco Clients ‐ Building and expanding a relationship of value and passion between Blytheco and its clients; Blytheco Energy and Spirit ‐ Bring back the excitement, passion, and innovation of business solutions via new offerings and innovative technology; Blytheco Healthy Growth ‐ Maintain Blytheco as a top provider of business applications and quality professional services through both organic and M&A growth initiatives. A thought occurred to me, is it correct to refer to the élan at the VAR as "Blythe Spirit"?
