F9 EYES GAP LEFT BY FRX
F9, a veteran of the software wars is being touted as a replacement for FRx, the financial reporting software that Microsoft is dropping. On its Web site, the company, which has ended up in the ownership of Infor, asks "Are you an ERP Vendor, Reseller or Customer Looking to Replace FRx?"
There seems to be some interest in F9, whether related to the FRx demise or not. Sage named it a Solution Provider for the Sage X3 ERP line, while Blackbaud has introduced a module, F9 for The Financial Edge, that enables users to create custom reports in Excel. The F9 Web page page points out features common to FRx and F9 and also advises visitors that the company will work with those in the industry who need to replace FRx.
