Founded in 1979 by Helen Russell, SCS was acquired by Kögun, a company-based in Iceland, in March 2006, a deal I never understood. This transaction adds more than $9 million in SCS revenue to the Sikich operation. Jim Drumm, partner in charge of Sikich's technology practice said the acquisition will give the company a coast-to-coast presence after its scheduled close on November 1. SCS also has offices in Las Vegas, Nev., and Phoenix, Ariz. Russell remained with the firm she founded until September 2013 when she became senior partner with Wild Creek Consulting, a NAV consulting firm. At SCS, she was succeeded as CEO by Kolbeinn Einarsson, an Icelander who came from Advania, which had purchased Kögun.
