Nuvei, a Montreal, Que.-based payments company is buying Paya Holdings via a tender offer of $9.75 per share that is valued at $1.3 billion.

Acquisitive Visma has named T. Alexander Lystad as its new chief technology officer. Lystad joined the Oslo, Norway-based ERP vendor in 2012.

 Avalara has named Kimberly Deobald as its new chief revenue officer this week. It is the first executive move announced since the company was purchased by Vista Equity Partners in October.
