RANDOM THOUGHTS: IN A MANHATTAN VISIT

In a Manhattan visit recently, I spotted a Turkish Restaurant, but its window had a notice that it had been closed by order of the Commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene. Unfortunately, it wasn't stated if the food was unsanitary or was experiencing emotional issues. ...
Ate at one of my favorite restaurants, the Shun Lee Palace, one of the few high-end Chinese places, where we were treated to an authentic experience that include music such as "Greensleeves" and a version Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" that sounded like it had been recorded by Ferrante and Teicher on an off day. ...  The Manhattan economy must be improving. There's a Ferrari store opening on the southwest corner of 55th Street and Park Avenue. I'm hoping to stop in and pick up an old clunker. ...  It was nice to be back on my old haunts on Park A venue, although technically there's a court order barring me from haunting the area. which stems from an unfortunate Halloween incident. ...The Taliban is holding its annual spring picnic. It's a strictly BYOE (bring your own executioner) event with traditional games such as playing polo with a goat's head. ... There's a Disney movie called, "Prince of Persia the Sands of Time" which appears to take its fight choreography from "Xenia, Warrior Princess." However, since it's a Disney movie, it does not appear to draw from the TV show's famed "School of Advanced Cleavage."  A sequel called, "Cheney, Prince of Iraq", details the young prince's fruitless search for secret weapons. Disney offered the Taliban the chance to appear as authentic-looking extras, but unfortunately they started attacking the other extras.
