RANDOM THOUGHTS: BRIAN WILLIAMS

Brian Williams, NBBThe Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Antonio has this sign on guest floors: "Be considerate of other guest between 10 pm. and 6 am." I guess you can treat them like dirt the rest of the time. ... This announcement was made on an American Airlines flight as I was traveling back from San Antonio. "If there's anything we can do to make you more comfortable, you can ask. But don't kid yourself. We can't." (OK, so I added some words.)

...  Embattled NBC news anchor Brian Williams has admitted he was not responsible for the Seahawks costly play that led to the New England Patriots winning Super Bowl XLIX. Williams is expected to moderate an event in which former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush swap war stories. .Williams will be visiting schools and reading copies of his new book, "The Little Train That Didn't." William intones, "I thought I did. I thought I did".  .. A Broadway producer is also considering the newsman for a musical version of the life of Baron Munchausen.  ... Some people carried the Seahawk complaint to an extreme. In Seattle, the family of 53-year old Michael Vedvik put this in his obituary after he died a few hours after his death. "We blame the Seahawks' lousy play call for Mike's untimely demise." His widow said he would have thought it was a hysterical comment. Of course, this is nothing to the decades of heart attacks in Boston until the Red Sox finally won a World Series. By the way, Vedvik did not see the game—he taped it for later.
