RANDOM THOUGHTS: PEOPLE CRAMMED

People crammed into spaces, uncomfortable temperatures, little to no food. But enough about my flight back from Orlando. There was also big news about 4,000 passengers stuck on a cruise ship who made it back to port after four days. ... The Jersey City water plant in our town has a facility labelled "Confined Space Training." It's being opened up for use by coach passengers.

... Saw a guy at the local convenience store wearing an "Iron Maiden" T Shirt and a kilt. I believe that he is probably from a rival to the great heavy metal clan, the McOsbornes. .... I'm singing in a German opera, "Die Freishutz," this weekend. Next week, we're doing the unknown Italian gem "Pacioli" about an accountant who goes bankrupt after trying to make a career as a clown. It features that classic aria, "O debito, o credito, o amore." And who could forget the thrilling "March of the Auditors and Entrance of the Tax Preparers"? ... Oedipus Rex married his mother and she still complained he didn't call her enough and that he never sent her a card on mother's day. Actually, Oedipus was like most kids and never completely listed to his mom. She kept telling him if he wasn't careful, he'd poke his eyes out.
