RANDOM THOUGHTS: KING HENRY I

King Henry I I have concluded from observing the photos on websites that the primary users of accounting software are very attractive young people. ... Got a recent email from an unhappy subscriber to the Progressive Accountant. "DROP DEAD, YOU SCUMBAGSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I replied, "Which of our Scumbags do you have in mind?" ... One of those endearing moments with your spouse:  My Wife: I don't think our daughter will ever learn to change how she does things. Me: Gee, I wonder where she gets that? On the same theme as the last post: she wanted me to take the recyclables from the back porch to the street.

As she went to bed, she called out, "You remember the back porch?" "Remember the back porch? It's one of the reasons we bought the house. I have nothing but fond memories of the back porch." ... Got upgraded to First Class on my recent trip from Fort Lauderdale to Newark, N.J. An attendant came up: "Robert Scott?" I looked at him, "You mean they put me on the no-fly list?" Instead, they moved me to the sacred space with those who have paid for enlightenment and leg room. And the contrast between first and coach has gotten ridiculous. Later I could smell something baking later and couldn't figure out what it was. They gave us warm, hot chocolate chips cookies. Coach passengers were shown pictures of cookies, and charged for the smell. ... The discovery that the remains of King Richard III were found under a parking lot was big news in England. It turns out a researcher believes the remains of King Henry I may also be under pavement near the ruins of an abbey. The clue was the signs on parking spaces: "Handicapped, Visitors, Remains of Kings of England." ... I believe we have found a cure for voter apathy. There's a news item that An Arizona woman was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison this week for running over her husband with the family car because he failed to vote in the 2012. The new approach from those canvassing the neighborhood: "Would like to register or shall I go get the Toyota?"
