The company did not provide a customer count for NetSuite and Fusion, as it has at other times. For the second quarter ended November 30, Oracle reported there were more than 24,000 NetSuite customers so the increase for the third quarter is on top of that. However, over the last few quarters, NetSuite has added about 1,000 customers per quarter. Net income for the most recently ended quarter was slightly more than $5 billion, an increase of 95 percent from $2.57 billion a year earlier. Second-quarter revenue of $10.1 billion rose by 3 percent over $9.8 billion in last year’s corresponding period. License revenues reached $1.3 billion, up 4 percent, unchanged in constant currencies. Ellison then proceeded to list competitive wins—that unbroken section of the transcript took 2,106 words out of 5,695 words for the total webcast.
