CONNECTWISE BUYS CONNEXIT
ConnectWise, a Tampa, Fla.-based company which markets professional service applications, has acquired the PSA assets of CoreConnex. CoreConnex, based in Bellevue, Wash., had sold those applications to VARs, MSPs and IT service companies. ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini also said his company is eying other acquisitions. In a prepared statement, Bellini said, “... we will continue to investigate other potential acquisitions, including companies like Autotask.” The press release was unclear in a couple of points and a call to ConnectWise PR was not answered. The headline referred to the acquisition of ConnexIT, which is presumably the PSA product, although that name was not used again by the press release and can't be found on the Coreconnex site.
Presumably, CoreConnex keeps other products, although the statement also referred to the companies' combined user base. CoreConnex has been a member of the Intuit Developer’s Network. The company's Corelytics using Intuit’s Web connector service to automatically pull financial data from QuickBooks or QuickBooks Pro. It is also a Registered Microsoft ISV and its CoreMobile supports Windows Mobile enabled devices, 5.0 and later.
