XTUPLE ENHANCES MOBILE

Ned Lilly, xTuple XTuple, which makes open source financial software, has introduced a wide range of features and fixes with version 4.4 of its software. One particularly appeals to me and that's what the company calls the "simplification of sometimes-obscure ERP terminology to make the system more accessible" Probably more important to most users is the company's continued work to replicate desktop functionality on the Mobile Web client.

These include the addition of features in manufacturing, shipping, purchasing and accounting. Improvements were also made to manufacturing time and attendance tracking, and finance charges and there were enhancements to multi-site shipping, inventory reservations, along with the addition of a configurable sales order entry screen. I had not paid attention to the company's deliberate tie in to Marvel movies. But let's not the official statement from CEO Ned Lilly that, "With 4.4, we're continuing our proud tradition of tying major product releases to Marvel superhero movies." In this case, version 4.4 coincided with the April 4 release of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
