INTACCT HIRES HOWELLS AS VP

Ian Howells, IntacctIntacct has hired Ian Howells as VP of market development. Intacct says Howells will "spearhead the cross-company go-to-market strategies for Intacct's targeted vertical market segments. Before joining the San Jose, Calif.-based cloud software vendor, the exec was the head of marketing at Argyle Data, which is a machine learning Hadoop application vendor.

SAGE NAMES GLOBAL PRESIDENT

Blair Crump, SageSage has hired Blair Crump as president with responsibility for sales and customer service, the first time Sage has ever had a president for the company's world-wide operations. Crump will report to CEO Stephen Kelly. Crump was COO from Pros Holdings from February 2014 and president of Salesforce.com from February 2012 through January 2014.

INFOR PURCHASES STARMOUNT

Joe Halloum, Starmount Software giant Infor has acquired Starmount, which makes store systems for large and mid-market resellers. Starmount provides point-of-sale, mobile shopping assistant, and store inventory management products. Infor says the purchase will enable it to accelerate delivery of Infor CloudSuite Retail. Infor has been hiring extensively to support its retail effort.

SANTORO MOVES TO GENIUS SOLUTIONS

Joe Santoro, Genius Solutions Joe Santoro, who sold his reselling practice to Net@work in 2012, has become business development manager for Genius Solutions. Santoro owned Windsor, Ontario-based Synergy Plus Solutions from December 1993 through June 2012. He then joined New York-based Net@Work and was most recently that reseller's sales director for Sage 300 from February through 2015 through last month.

PROMYS LINKS TO ACUMATICA

PromysPSA Software vendor Promys has released a web integration with Acumatica. Promys, based in Toronto, Ontario, says it rewrote its software completely a year ago to support such links. The vendor says its integration has eight touch points with Acumatica: Invoice, P.O., Inventory receipts, Projects, Work Assignments, new customers, vendors, products and labor items.

EDGEWATER SERVICE UP; SOFTWARE DOWN

Shirley Singleton, Edgewater Technology The service business was the only driver for Edgewater Technology as net income jumped 166 percent while revenue increased by 12 percent for the second quarter ended June 30. Net income hit $494,000 in the most recently ended period, compared to $1.3 million a year ago. Revenue was $34 million, up from $30.5 million a year earlier. Software revenue was $3.6 million, a decline of 12.2 percent from $4.1 million in last year's corresponding period.

BLACKBAUD HAS STRONG QUARTER

Mike Gianoni, Blackbaud Blackbaud reported double-digit growth in net income and revenue for the second quarter ended June 30. The company said it had strong performance across the company as it reported $7.8 million in net income, up 10.9 percent from slightly more than $7 million in last year's corresponding period.
