Nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud has acquired AcademicWorks, which makes scholarship management software. The acquired company's products serve higher education and K-12 institutions, foundations and grant-making institutions. Terms were not disclosed.

Channel veteran Ken Eldridge has joined outsourcer Computer Generated Solutions as VP of sales and strategic alliances. Eldridge joined the New York-based company this month. He was previously EVP of sales for Columbus A/S, a job he started in July 2015.

Macola has rolled out version 2. of its Unity Partner Program, which was originally introduced in January 2015. Macola also said it is continuing to enroll new VARS. "Since it was unveiled more than two years ago, the Macola Unity Partner Program has been the cornerstone of our channel-driven strategy," managing director Alison Forsythe said in a prepared statement.

Unit4 has acquired Assistance Software, which makes out-of-the-box PSA software for specific services industries. The product from Assistance, based in Naarden in the Netherlands, is now the Unit4 PSA Suite, adding a front-end to the offerings. Terms were not disclosed.

NAV-X has reached an agreement to represent the Agiles Group as a master VAR for the Agiles productivity suite, which includes its Workflow for Dynamics NAV. NAV-X markets NAV-X for Dynamics NAV which provides added functions for manufacturing and distribution users.
HALEY SELLS BCS PROSOFT TO VESPE

CEO Clark Haley has sold ownership of San Antonio, Texas-based BCS ProSoft to co-owner William Vespe. Vespe has served as president since 2009. Haley, who has headed the reseller since 1986, will remain as an advisor and focus on strategic relationships with key accounts in the rental industry.

Enavate, a Dynamics AX VAR, has decided to bring its operations under one name. The company acquired MBS Dev and Celenia Software in December 2014 and continued to use the Celenia name in Europe while adopting the Enavate name here. Enavate spring to life in December 2013 under the name, Project AX.
