Eighteen months ago, Sage opened its first Customer Business Center in Atlanta. It also opened a center in Dublin, Ireland. When the centers were first announced, the company said more would open "to revolutionize the way it supports customers around the world."

My thinking was that after Microsoft moved its Dynamics products to the cloud the behemoth would roll over competitors. That may have been a bit premature. Some admittedly brief conversations with resellers yielded a picture that Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition is doing really well while Dynamics 365 Business Edition, not so well.

SilverSun Technologies, the parent of reseller SWK Technologies, doubled its net profit on a 2.8-percent rise in revenue for the first quarter ended March 31. The results for Livingston N.J.-based SWK represent all of SilverSun's operations.

Andrew Birch, general manager of industry solutions, has been named as COO of MYOB. Birch joined the software company, based in Glen Waverley, Victoria, Australia, in 2009 as general manager of industry solutions. The company also said Adam Ferguson is leaving his job as GM of engineering and experience.

Faye Business Solutions Group has acquired the SugarCRM practice of Cynergy Solutions. Based in Simi Valley, Calif., Cynergy also handles Salesforce and OroCRM. It also has an office in Plano, Texas. David Faye, CEO at Faye, said the deal enables his firm to expand its business in both California and Texas.
