RSM US was named North American Partner of the Year at Prophix Software’s user conference this year. It is the fifth consecutive year the accounting and consulting firm has taken home the award.

SugarCRM has hired Chris Pennington as chief customer officer. Pennington was previously with Professional Advantage from 2008 through May this year.

Wave Financials is being acquired by H&R Block for $405 million. Wave, based in Toronto, Ont., markets cloud-bases software and targets the freelance market.
