Salesforce is planning to buy Tableau Software, an analytics software company, for $15.7 billion via a tender offer. The companies this week announced a definitive agreement for the acquisition has been reached.

Qvinci Software has added new user-defined business intelligence, KPI’s and reporting packages to its financial reporting software. The reporting packages can now integrated blending data from multiple financial types and other data sources such as Excel. 

Unanet has received what it calls “a significant growth equity investment” of undisclosed size from JMI Equity. The announcement was thin on the exact plans that the company, which makes cloud-based project management and ERP software, has for use of the funds.
