EDGEWATER, INVESTOR, MAKE PEACE

Edgewater Technology has come to terms with Lone Star Investors, which had sought to oust the Edgewater directors. The parties this week agreed to expand the board of directors of the Wakefield, Mass.-based consulting and reselling company from six to eight and to add two Lone Star nominees, Timothy Whelan and Stephen R. Bova. The agreement also kills the immediate prospect of a takeover of Edgewater by another company.
NETSUITE PROMOTES FORMAN

Long-time NetSuite employee Michael Forman has been promoted to SVP and global controller and appointed as the software company's principal accounting officer. He was previously VP of finance and corporate controller. Forman, age 45, was previously VP of finance and corporate controller. He was been with the San Mateo, Calif.-based cloud software publisher since May 2004. I am assuming that adding the word "global" to the job description reflects the company's growth and need for someone to overlook the growing international business.
K3 PROFITS JUMP; REVS SLUGGISH

The K3 Business Technology Group, a Dynamics reseller based in the United Kingdom, had a sharp jump in profit for the half ended December 31. But revenue was is a low-growth mode for the retail software specialist. Profit before tax was about $6.7 million, an increase of 33 percent from the similar period a year ago; up 36 percent in constant currency. Revenue crawled up by 1 percent for the most recently ended half to about $59.7 million, an increase of 4 percent in constant currency. The company sounded a theme heard among large Microsoft VARs—the need to grow revenue of their own products.
