Columbus has named Marianne Woldbye-Tholin to the new position of VP of the company's global ColumbusCare organization. She was most recently VP for project management in KMD from June 2015 through July 2016, and was with TRYG from October 2012 through May 2015 and was director of business development from October 2012 through May 2015.

SWK Technologies had a lackluster first quarter for 2016. But for the second quarter ended June 30, the Livingston, N.J.-based reseller reversed the drop in product revenue from the March quarter and significantly boosted operating and net income. The numbers were reported this week by SilverSun Technologies, the public company whose only operation is SWK.

Sage acknowledges it had 15,000 attendees at last month's Summit conference, short of the 20,000 it promised. But the real question is how relevant all those bodies were. We know that the software company was advertising a $99 entry fee up through the start of the Chicago-based event. But there are complaints that Sage was handing out passes like candy and the attendance including people basically off the street.
