MYOB CANCELS RECKON DEAL

Australia software vendor MYOB Croup has terminated its planned purchased of the Accountant Practice Management operations of Reckon. With regulatory approval lagging in Australia and New Zealand, MYOB exercised its right to cancel the deal on May 31 after the passing of six months to satisfy conditions of the sale.

Avalara has named Danny Fields as EVP of engineering and chief technology officer. Fields fills the vacancy left by the departure of Peter Harodan in January. He was most recently SVP of engineering and chief software development officer at MobileIron from February 2016 until taking the new job.
