But in September 2013, responsibility for Sage One went under Connie Certusi, who has had Sage 50 for years. That was when Benamram was fast-tracked to run Timeslips and DacEasy, the software equivalent of selling CB radios. I think the French term for those two products is “Les Fossils”. He continues to report to Certusi. Of course, the fact that people continue to buy DacEasy is a testament to just how loyal users are to accounting products. Years ago, I asked David Hannah, then CEO of State of the Art, why the company continued to sell DacEasy. "We make money on it," he answered. Must still be true.

LAURENT OUT AT SAGE Featured
Clifton "Johnny" Laurent has lost the game of executive musical chairs as Sage adjusted leadership for Sage HRMS and the group handling Timeslips and DacEasy. Laurent, VP and GM of Sage HRMS, joined Sage in January 2006 and had worked in the Employer Solutions organization since June 2009. His duties are being transferred to Henry Benamram who heads Small Business Solutions effective September 8. Benamram, who has spent 22 years at Sage, started in France and then transferred to North America in 2012. He initially had responsibility of for Sage One, the company’s cloud product of the future, as part of a Sage One North America Group.
