NET@WORK BUYS SOLUTION STRATEGISTS' SAGE BIZ

Alex SolomonNEW YORK - Net@Work, one of Sage's largest accounting software resellers, has acquired the Sage accounting software and CRM practice of Solution Strategists, a reseller based in Cranford, N.J. Solution Strategists' owner Art Nathan said he made the sale so he could spend more time with his family.

Nathan said his partner, Robert Herman, and most of the companies consultants are joining Net@Work. He will continue to handle Deltek, the software for project-oriented company's that Solution Strategists' began selling early last year. And the company will also still market QuickBooks Enterprise Systems, which Nathan expects to grow substantially.

In November, the New York-based company expanded into the Carolinas and into the human resource software market with the purchase of Raleigh, N.C.-based Business Technology Solutions. In August, Net@Work opened a Dallas office as it became one of many Sage resellers trying to pick up the business left by the demise of the MIS Group this summer. Commenting on this publication's description of his company as a multi-regional reseller with national aspirations, Alex Solomon said it fit, although the Solomons are considering whether a national expansion is in their best interests.
