SAP STARTS ON-DEMAND UNIT
This goes beyond the mid-market, but SAP is demonstrating the demand for Internet-based applications with a new organization. It said it has hired for SAP exec Greg Tomb, most recently CEO of Vivido Mobile, to head its Global On-Demand Sales and Go-to-Market organization.
According to the official announcement, “Tomb and his team will drive a significant focus on enabling organizations worldwide to take advantage of new, innovative applications that bring immediate value to sales, procurement, human resources and finance organizations.” Vivido markets on-demand mobile applications and an SAP certified partner. Before that, Tomb was an SAP executive and had been president of SAP North America.
