REVS OFF FOR SLIMMER QUISITIVE Featured

Revenue from continuing operations dropped by two percent for the second quarter ended June 30 for Canadian reseller Quisitive Technology Solutions.

Revenue from its cloud business—largely based on Dynamics—dropped to $29.6 million from $30.2 million in last year’s corresponding period. The company attributed the revenue decline to reduced market demand within professional services and a corresponding reduction in revenue-generating headcount. Quisitive sold its LedgerPay payments business for $27 million in shares of the purchaser, Fulcrum IT Partners, in January, and its BankCard USA to a group including that operation’s employees for $40 million in cash in April. For the third quarter ended September 30, the payments business comprised 26 percent of total revenue. Quisitive lost $1.9 million from continuing operations for the most recently ended period, compared to a loss of $3.1 million a year ago. The company had income from its discontinued operations of $9.4 million for the quarter, compared to a $263,000 loss a year ago. Overall, Quisitive reported net income of $7.4 million, compared to a loss of $3.4 million.
