SWK paid $234,000, including $60,000 cash and a $174,000 three-year promissory note, for PIT. SilverSun CEO Mark Meller said in a prepared statement that with the purchase, “we plan on becoming a dominant force in the SMB marketplace in the Midwest.” PIT, headed by Merilyn Van Zwieten, has 160 customers, according to SiiverSun. PIT, founded in September 2001, also provides managed IT services, data backup and storage and anti-malware services and security services.

SWK Technologies, based in East Hanover, N.J, has acquired Partners in Technology, a Sage reseller based in the Chicago area. The announcement by SWK’s parent, SilverSun Technologies, reported PIT had 2018 revenue of more than $1 million.
