ACUMATICA PICKS PARTNER VP

Richard Duffy, Acumatica Acumatica has hired SAP veteran Richard Duffy as its VP of partner strategy and enablement. He fills the position left vacant when the former title holder, Mike Silver, bolted the company in August for a similar position with Intacct after 16 months in that job. Duffy was with SAP from August 2003 until taking the Acumatica job. That experience included serving as Business One sales and marketing programs manager since August 2009.

For the last 13 months of his stay at SAP, Duffy was also an SAP Mentor. Before joining the German software giant, he was with Great Plains Software from 1996 through its purchase by Microsoft in 2001 and then was with that company through 2003. There's been a decent amount of turnover at Acumatica in the last year. That includes the naming last month of Microsoft executive Jon Roskill as CEO with the prior occupant of the office, Yuri Larichev, moving to become president of Acronis, a sister company.
