Until the buyout, the current company had been owned by Valens Offshore SPV II Corp, which was managed by hedge fund managers, Laurus Capital Management/Valens Capital Management, Lemos is a Sage Software alum and was a VP at that company from August 2002 through January 2008. He became CEO of Retail Pro in July 2009. Partial funding for the deal was provided by the Silicon Valley Bank.

MANAGEMENT BUYS RETAIL PRO
The management of Retail Pro International, which makes software for the retail industry, has acquired the company. The deal was led by CEO and now owner, Kerry Lemos. As a product line, Retail Pro has been around for more than 25 years ago. The company’s product line includes Retail Pro Prism POS. However, the present company was formed in 2009.
