“It is our hypothesis that the CFO in a SMB firm manages inside and outside legal counsel which includes their matter spend,” said Marc Palombo, Onit’s VP of strategic alliances. “The ERP channel has deep ties to the CFO/finance decision maker.” Companies typically budget 3 percent to 5 percent of revenue to legal matter spend,” Palombo says. For an SMB, that probably means $3 million to $10 million annually with a Fortune 500 company budgeting “north of” $100 million to $500 million. Onit’s products include Enterprise Legal Management, Matter Management and Legal Spend Management.
