ALITHYA PAYS $49.2M FOR TRAINING BIZ Featured

 Dynamics reseller Alithya has acquired Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based Vitalyst for $49.2 million. Vitalyst markets on-demand, subscription-based Adaptive Learning to Fortune 1000 companies, offering services for the adoption of Microsoft cloud applications.

For the 12 months ended December 31, Vitalyst preliminary results showed $26.4 million in revenue and adjusted EBITDA of $10.1 million. Montreal, Que-based Alithya’s year ends March 31 and it will report results on February 10. It reported $105.2 million in revenue for the half ended September 30 and said pro forma revenue for the trailing 12 months of approximately $335 million (translated from $C). It had $189 million in revenue for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2020. The significant jump stemmed largely from $50.1 million in annual revenue from consulting firm R3D Conseil in March. In its announcement, Alithya cited  the “unprecedented increase in the demand for teleworking and the shortage of qualified talent” as driving the demand for services from companies such as Vitalyst.
