CROWE BUYS NETSUITE VAR Featured

Accounting firm Crowe has acquired Upaya-The Solution, a NetSuite reseller and Workday Adaptive Planning partner. Terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is expected to be completed on October 1.

Crowe declined to provide revenue or number of employees for Upaya and various Internet services had a wide range of estimates, with one estimating114 employees. Upaya has at least the 42 employees connected to its LinkedIn profile. The company’s website says it has implemented NetSuite more than 750 times. Upaya will become part of Crowe’s NetSuite consulting services. Crowe was No. 9 on Bob Scott’s Top 100 VAR list for 2021 with $93.3 million and 580 employees so this should move it up the scale, barring any M&A by competitors. The service that estimated it had 114 employees gave Upaya’s revenue at $30 million which would mean $263,000 and change in annual revenue per employee—a reasonable figure. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Upaya is involved in several industries including software, financial services, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, education, nonprofit, retail, sports and healthcare. Upaya was founded by Bhavna and Kapil Agarwal in 2006 with Bhavana Agarwal joining Crowe as a principal and Kapil Agarwal as managing director.
