ECI SOFTWARE BUYS DEACOM Featured

 ECI Software Solutions, which owns the Macola manufacturing software line, has acquired Deacom. Terms were not disclosed.

 Deacom, based in ChesterBrook, Pa., makes ERP software for batch and manufacturing operations. The company, which opened an office in Frankfort, Germany, in 2020, was founded by CEO Jay Deakins in September 1995. Deacom also has an office in Denver, Colo. A Wikpedia article said it employed 165 people as of 2020. ECI  has applications in the areas of home and building supply, home and land developers, office technology, equipment maintenance and service, office products and contract office service. Deakins has started DeakTech, which his LinkedIn profile says “was created as a Chapter Two project to investigate future business opportunities. Stay tuned.” ECI also owns the Max, JobBoss, M1 and E2 manufacturing applications and Deacom will join them as part of ECI’s manufacturing division
