DYNAMICS REVS RISE 21 PERCENT Featured

Revenue for Dynamics products and cloud services rose by 21 percent over a year ago for the second quarter ended December 31. As usual, the main factor was Dynamics 365, which Microsoft said this week increased by 39 percent.

That is a step up from the 19-percent increase for the first quarter. Microsoft does not provide actual revenue figures for the Dynamics business, which is part of the software company’s Productivity and Business Processes Group. That segment, which encompasses LinkedIn and consumer and commercial Office products, had second-quarter revenue of $13.35 billion, an increase of 12.9 percent from $11.83 billion in last year’s corresponding. CEO Satya Nadella noted the impact of the solarwinds attack to emphasize Microsoft’s growth in security products Nadella said revenue from that area has risen by 40 percent in the last year.
