VISMA 2020 REVS UP 25.7 PERCENT Featured

Norway-based software company Visma said revenue from continuing operations  rose 25.7 percent over 2019. The company this week reported revenue for the year just ended was approximately $2.19 billion

.Pre-tax profit for 2020 was about $202 million, an increase of 45.4 percent from the prior year. Visma, which has already had one acquisition this year, had 14 in the fourth quarter, largely in Scandinavia and the company recently named a head of M&A in Finland. For the fourth quarter, pre-tax profit was about $56.3 million, up 83.5 percent over the prior year’s corresponding period  Revenue in the final quarter of last year was approximately $601.8 million. Visma reported strong growth in its four core divisions for the fourth quarter. The increases in revenue for the divisions were as follows: Software Nordic and International grew revenue, 19.2 percent; Software Benelux, 26 percent; Custom Solutions, 25.4 percent; and Commerce Solutions,  24.2 percent. The year ended with the company reporting 1.2 million customer contracts. It said 975,000 of those were for cloud systems,  a rise of 31.9 percent year-over-year
