fishbowl logo Fishbowl, which makes inventory software for QuickBooks, has introduced an online application that enables employers to track employees’ time and payroll information. The company’s website describes the products as time-clock software. But the planned additions to functionality go beyond that and include human resources, scheduling, payroll integration, basic project management, project costing, advanced reporting. Pricing starts at $19 per month for one to nine employees and scales to $89 per month for 61 to 80 employees. I like the phrasing for those with more than 100 employees who are advised to “Contact us and we can figure out a pricing plan that works best for you.”

BLACKBAUD UPDATES RAISER’S EDGE

Charles Cumbaa, Blackbaud Blackbaud has made what it calls significant enhancements to The Raiser’s Edge. I noticed the press release calls the product the company’s “flagship CRM solution.” Fundraising software must be the old-fashioned term. In a prepared statement, Charles Cumbaa, SVP of president of corporate and product strategy, said this is just the beginning of significant innovation planned for the next 12 months. Among the enhancements are crowdfunding with Everydayhero, another Blackbaud product, which now integrates with The Raiser’s Edge.

NEW MIP HELPS DETECT FRAUD

AbilaThe latest version of Abila’s MIP Fund Accounting application helps organizations detect fraud through the addition of a number of enhancements. MIP 2014.6 features Alerts to keep organizations informed about activity within the application, including suspicious activity or key changes. The system can be set up so that terminated employees immediately lose access to MIP functions, including transactions and reporting.
