SAP INTROS COPILOT Featured

SAP has introduced Joule, a generative AI-based copilot that responds to natural language. The software company said this week Joule will be embedded in all of its cloud enterprise software portfolio.

Customers will interact by asking questions or frame problems to which Joule will reply in natural language. That includes applications for HR, finance supply chain, procurement and customer experience, along with the SAP Business Technology Platform. Availability starts with SuccessFactors apps and the SAP Start site later this year, and with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition early in 2024. Other updates will be announced in SAP conferences this fall., including Success Connect, SAP Spend Connect Live and Customer Experience Live, SAP Tech AD. SAP noted it is working to establish the AI ecosystem through direct investments, such as those announced in July with Aleph Alpha, Anthropic and Cohere and partnerships such as those with Microsoft, Google Cloud and IBM.
