KeyedIn Project 7.1 has significant improvements to portfolio management, the software company said this week. Among these are Clone portfolio, which enables users to create a copy of a portfolio and giving them the ability to edit projects independently.

The capability also can compare different scoring criteria or scenarios rapidly. Also new, the waterlining feature can be used to enter a constraint, usually a total budget figure. Users can then rank and sort projects to identify which can be completed yet remain within the constraint. Users can select and configure the value field they wish to use against the constraint. In addition, the Forecast search functionality includes more filtering options, among them the ability to filter only the most recent forecast of a project. Users can also search by custom forecast states, which users can set up and they can exclude specific projects when viewing the demand breakdown for a particular role.
