Blackbaud’s bottom line for the first quarter ended March 31 did a sharp turnaround from a year ago. The nonprofit software company reported a net loss of $1.1 million, compared to $17.8 million in net income in last year’s corresponding period.

Weakness in the United States continue to hurt financial results for Denmark-based Columbus. North American revenue for the first quarter ended March 31 dropped by 11.2 percent and EBIDTA by 83 percent from last year’s corresponding period, the reseller and software developer said.
