Insightsoftware, which makes financial reporting software, has acquired Dallas,Texas-based BizNet Software. Terms were not disclosed. BizNet markets Excel-based reporting applications, both as a standalone product, and one that connects with many financial software packages. 

Adobe, Microsoft and SAP this week provided more information about how they intend to have their applications interoperate through the Open Data Initiative. Details were announced at the Adobe Summit this week by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen.

Priority Software, which markets the AccountEdge software line, has acquired Belgium-based Optimize Group to expand its presence in Western Europe. Terms were not disclosed. Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, Priority acquired Rockaway, N.J.-based Acclivity last year.
