Insightsoftware markets applications for the higher-end market, including Infor, J.D. Edwards, Lawson, Dynamics, Oracle and PeopleSoft. Insight has been on the M&A road—in October it purchased Excel4apps, which makes Excel-based reporting software for Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP and in December it picked up CXO Software, which makes web-based performance reporting platforms.

Insightsoftware, which makes financial reporting software, has acquired Dallas,Texas-based BizNet Software. Terms were not disclosed. BizNet markets Excel-based reporting applications, both as a standalone product, and one that connects with many financial software packages.
