QBO VP HICKS LEFT INTUIT Featured

Terry Hicks, IntuitIn January, we posted a note saying that Terry Hicks, VP of QuickBooks Online was leaving Intuit. I got no response from Intuit PR and there was no news of Hicks leaving for a long time But in the last few days, his LinkedIn page has changed to show his job ended last month. Hicks held the job starting in January 2013 and there is no higher-profile product at Intuit than QBO. It is the product around which the company intends to build its operations.

So as VPOTUS Joe Biden might say, "This is a big deal." I expect Hicks to turn up with a higher-level executive position. He had been with Intuit for 15 years. He had VP positions with payroll, small business, QuickBooks,  the QuickBooks Industry, mobile ventures and  global small business. From January 2011 through May 2013, he was VP  of global product management and strategy. This looks more than a little like a rotation for someone being groomed for a higher position.
