Vista Equity Partners is acquiring indirect tax specialist Avalara for $8.3 billion Vista has agreed to pay $93.50 per share in an all-cash deal. The deal, expected to close in the second half of 2022, represents a 27-percent premium over the closing price of shares on July  6.

 Procore Technologies ended the second quarter on June 30 with 13,403 organic customers, representing growth of 20-percent year-over-year. The construction software company cut its loss by half as revenue for the most recently ended period as revenue rose by 40-percent over a year ago.

 Blackbaud has begun closing data centers as it shifts to third-party centers—AWS and Azure. As the company reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, it said the first center closed iuring the quarter.
