Visma’s Belgian subsidiary Yuki has incorporated blockchain technology. The Sweden-based financial softwre company says it is the first in Europe to make the move, which allows the authenticity of receipts and invoices to be automatically verified.

Vena Solutions, which makes forecasting, planning and analytical software, has named Hugh Cumming as chief technology officer. Cumming takes over from George Papayiannis, one of three company co-founders who had held the position since April 2011.
