SAP has reported revenue of roughly $9 billion for the second quarter ended June 30, 10-percent increase year-over-year and also up 10 percent in constant currency.

The company also reported after-tax profit of approximately $996 million, a 69 percent increase over a year ago. With the continued shift to the cloud, software license revenue dropped 27 percent from last year’s corresponding period. Cloud revenue itself was about $4.5 billion, an increase of 25 percent with Cloud Suite revenue reaching about $3.7 billion, up 33 percent. The Cloud Suite is comprised by SAP Hana, the SAP Business Technology Platform and core applications that. include payroll, HR and spend management.
