COLUMBUS US DIPS AGAIN Featured

 After some quarters with modest gains, revenue for Columbus US declined by 11 percent year-over-year for the first quarter ended March 31.

Operations in this country dipped to approximately $2.82 million. When executives presented results by country during a recent earnings webcast, there was silence about the U.S. results. After report on results from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the United Kingdom, chief financial officer Brian Iverson ended his discussion of countries with “I think that’s all I would like to mention.” The best country results came from the United Kingdom, with service revenue up 65 percent, and Denmark, Columbus’ second largest market, an increase of 35 percent.  The largest market, Sweden, was off 1 percent, while results for Norway, third-largest, were down 8 percent. Overall, Columbus reported an increase of 14 percent to about $60 million first the most recently ended quarter. Columbus biggest selling product line, Dynamics, produced roughly $33.2 million in revenue, an increase of 17 percent, while the next largest, M3, increased 15 percent to about $13.4 million.
