 Analytics software company, Qlik, has established an AI council, designed to guide the company’s R&D direction and its product road map. I

n a prepared statement, Qlik said this is designed to “ensure its customers’ use of Qlik’s AI is built with responsibility and ethics front of mind.” Council members, subject matter experts, will be presenting at the Qlik Conference from June 3 through 5 in Orlando, Fla. These include Nina Schick, author, advisor and founder of an advisory firm focused on GenAI, analyzing emerging trends; Dr. Rumman Chowdhury, an AI leader, engineer, auditor and investor, who is is== a pioneer in the field of applied algorithmic ethics; Kelly Forbes,  co-founder and executive director, of the AI Asia Pacific Institute working with leading organizations and governments to address the risks associated with AI; and  Dr. Michael Bronstein,  DeepMind professor of artificial intelligence, University of Oxford, who has founded a series of startups, including Novafora, Invision (acquired by Intel in 2012), Videocites and Fabula AI (acquired by Twitter in 2019).
