INTUIT TIERS PROADVISOR PROGRAM

intuit_logoIntuit has applied some standard channel management concepts to its ProAdvisor program - providing pricing tiers and other benefits that reward those with greater skills more than those who just join. Certified ProAdvisors get greater product discounts and more support under a new three-tier program. It penalizes those who do not obtain certification by ending the offer of free support to all of the more than 60,000 members. For all prospects, the cost to join the program goes from $499 to $599 as of September 13

New members can join the payroll program for $749. The price for current members to renew rises to $549 on November 1 with the price at $749 for payroll members. Additionally, Intuit has created the Silver, Gold and Diamond tiers that provide increasing rewards as members acquire product certifications. The members who join the basic program, the Silver level, can receive product discounts of up to 25 percent. Members at that level do not need certifications. Gold-level participants must be certified in order to receive discounts of up to 30 percent while Diamond-level members can receive up to 35 percent of list prices. Another major change is the end of unlimited chat and telephone support for all members. Silver-level ProAdvisors still received unlimited chat support, but will have only 90 days of telephone support. After that, they must purchase an annual subscription for $199. Those who are not certified as of September 12, get one more year of free telephone and chat support after their next renewal.
