PROCORE FIXING INT’L BIZ Featured

Procore Technologies wants to improve international operations after business in that area failed to perform up to expectations.

CEO Tooey Courtemanche said in the company’s recent earnings webcast that lower-than-expected productivity “is driven by internal operational factors rather than external economic factors.” Otherwise, the construction software company had a strong 2022 with its loss rising8.2 percent while revenue jumped by 40 percent. Procore lost $286.9 million for the year ended December 31, up from a loss of $265.2 million for 2021. Revenue for 2022 was $720.2 million, compared to $514.8 million the prior year. Courtemanche cited growth in six-figure transactions as a factor in revenue growth for the fourth quarter. These deals were up 27 percent year over year while seven-figure deals jumped 100 percent. Concerning international operation, Courtemanche said, “Restoring productivity in this part of the business is going to take some time, but we anticipate seeing improvements towards the end of 2023.” The CEO said his focus includes “developing and enhancing our leadership team” internationally. Levelset, which makes lien management software, contributed $32 million to Procore’s revenue last year. The company was purchased by Procore in November 2021
