NETSUITE REVS HIT $600M Featured

NetSuite revenue reached $600 million for the second quarter ended November 30, an increase of 25 percent year-over-year, 29 percent in constant currency. This is the first time Oracle has reported revenue for the ERP package.

It also said Fusion ERP revenue was $600 million, up 25 percent, 28 percent in constant currency. Because these product revenue totals are not given in the Oracle P&L, there are no comparables for a year earlier. Second-quarter cloud application revenue rose 40 percent to $2.8 billion, an increase of 45 percent in constant currency. Cloud infrastructure revenue was $1 billion, up 53 percent, 59 percent over the year earlier quarter. Net income for the most recently ended period was $1.74 billion, compared to a loss of $1.25 billion a year ago. Revenue was $12.8 billion, rising 18 percent from $10.36 billion in last year’s corresponding period. In this week’s earnings webcast, chairman and chief technology officer Larry Ellison said, “We have probably close to 30,000 NetSuite customers.” That compares with 32,000, according to remarks made at this year’s SuiteWorld conference in September by EVP Evan Goldberg, who runs the Oracle NetSuite unit. It’s not the first time those user numbers have bounced around a bit. Alison also said there are 11,000 Fusion ERP and HCM customers and 22,000 infrastructure and cloud customers. CEO Safra Katz said license support revenue has dropped to 53 percent of cloud services and support revenue, down from 65 percent a year ago. Cerner, which was purchased five months ago, represented $1.5 billion of the quarter’s top line. NetSuite’s last form 10-K as an independent company showed revenue of $741.1 billion for the year ended December 31 with subscription and support revenue of $593.1 million. I assume there were things moved around following the  purchase by Oracle in 2017.
