The change will coincide that month with Sukhinder Singh Cassidy taking over as CEO of the New Zealand-based company from Steve Vamos, In the position, “Soin will be responsible for leading the cross business processes that shape the development and execution of Xero’s global strategy and drive operational excellence,” the company said in its prepared statement, Soin had previously reported to chief strategy and corporate development officer, Damien Tampling,  who the company said “has decided to leave Xero after almost four years."  Before joining Xero in March 2021, Soin was with Deloitte for 13 years one month where he was a partner for the last three years and was the national lead for strategy and transformation officer.
