ALITHYA BUYS FIRM FOR $56.4 MILLION Featured

UmbrellaThe Alithya Group, based in Montreal, Que., has agreed to acquire Datum Consulting Group for up to $56.4 million. The purchase of the Indianapolis, Ind.-based firm includes a maximum potential earnout of $13 million.

Datum specializes in providing IT services to insurance companies and other regulated entities. Alithya, which sells Dynamics and Oracle. Datum employs more than 150 worldwide and had revenue of $18 million for the year ended December 31. That adds to the $395.9 million in revenue reported for Alithya for the same year, which placed it No. 2 on Bob Scott’s Top 100 VARs. Datum's workforce encompasses insurance subject matter experts who have worked with Healthcare, Property and Casualty, and Life Annuity insurance companies. Early in 2022, Alithya bought Bala Cynwyd, Pa.-based Vitalyst for $49.2 million. Vitalyst markets on-demand, subscription-based Adaptive Learning to Fortune 1000 companies, offering services for the adoption of Microsoft cloud applications
